Some Costumes change the Cookie's liked and disliked gift in the Lobby, which is a gimmick that becomes even more common on higher tier Costumes. Other Costumes frequently change the visuals of skill effects as well. Holiday Wizard is merely a recolor of the default Wizard Cookie, while Angel Cookie's Jelly Walker and Rockstar Cookie's Flaming Guitar change visual effects and sounds. As such, their cosmetic effects and gameplay bonuses vary. Rare Costumes are the most numerous rarity of Costume.
Common Costumes are purchasable at the Costume Shop for 50-580, and give one Rainbow Crystal when a duplicate is drawn at the Costume Gacha. No Common costumes have released since the Back to School set. GingerBrave's New Frosting is the only Common Costume which isn't obtainable from the Costume Gacha, but it can be obtained from the Costume Shop.Ĭostumes from Halloween Party 2014 and two from Halloween Party 2015 that were added to OvenBreak during Halloween 2017 are all Common, as are the Back to School Costume Set added on April 15th, 2018 and a few others. Most Common Costumes do not change effects and merely change the Cookie's appearance, though Muscle Cookie's kettlebell is changed in his Curling Enthusiast costume, Werewolf Cookie has new sound effects in his Lonesome Shiba Inu costume, and Some Cookie's Ginger Claus Outfit creates gift sacks, which no longer have an effect. Before the addition of the Costume Gacha, far more Costumes were Limited, but they were made available and reclassified as Epic or Super Epic.Ĭommon Costumes are simple outfits for older Cookies, which provide very minor bonuses. Additionally, some Costumes are Limited, meaning they were only available for a limited time. In Cookie Run: OvenBreak, costumes come in five rarities: Common, Rare, Epic, Super Epic, and Legendary.

Cookies who receive a Magic Candy or a major buff after their release often get a Costume as part of the update as well, even if they already have a Costume. Starting with Cinnamon Cookie, newly added Epic Cookies always release with a Costume, except for Purple Yam Cookie and Milk Cookie, which got their Costumes at the next Grand Champions League. More Costumes would be added for the other Islands of Memories and in batches in Halloween Updates and other updates, with these Costumes now purchasable with a new currency, Rainbow Cubes.
In Cookie Run (Kakao), Kumiho Cookie and Rebel Cookie were time-limited Cookies who had three different Costumes in addition to their Halloween Costumes depending on when they were obtained, a feature unique to them.Ĭostumes would make another appearance as a feature in Cookie Run: OvenBreak with an update on March 24th, 2017, with the release of Hero Cookie's First Suit: SCV1 as a limited purchase item or Invite Event. Subsequent years, Halloween Party 2015 and Halloween Party 2016, would continue this trend by returning the old Costumes and creating new ones for the Cookies released during the gap between the events. Once the Halloween Party 2014 event ended, the Cookies reverted to their normal appearances. These costumes altered the appearance of the Cookies for Halloween, and were purely cosmetic. Costumes made their first appearance in the Halloween Party 2014.
